Shine A Light is honored to partner once again with the Helms Helps Foundation to bring lasting change to our community. This time, through the month of October, every dollar you give will be matched while doubling your impact and helping us reach even more individuals transitioning from homelessness and substance use disorder to self-sustainability.

At Shine A Light, we take a holistic approach to bridging gaps between crisis intervention and life long recovery.

Our work begins with outreach and engagement, where our team, made up entirely of people in recovery themselves, builds trust with those who are most disconnected from services. From there, we provide continuity case management for a period of 18 months, ensuring that every person has a consistent guide to help navigate treatment, housing, healthcare, identification, employment readiness, and community support.

Through our community partnerships, Shine A Light also offers transitional housing and sober living environments. These homes provide a safe, structured place to heal and rebuild. We combine housing with case management, compliance monitoring, and access to recovery support services, creating a foundation for long-term success.

Our programming is holistic, addressing the practical, emotional, and social needs of each participant. We help secure vital documents like IDs and birth certificates, connect individuals to medical and behavioral health treatment, provide daily check-ins, and support participants in pursuing education, job readiness, and reunification with their families.

Since 2017, Shine A Light has demonstrated year-over-year growth and retention, serving thousands of people in Southern Nevada. We collaborate with local treatment centers, housing providers, and community organizations to create a safety net of resources, ensuring no one falls through the cracks.
